Choquequirao Trek 5D / 4N

The Choquequirao trek is a truly spectacular hike that plunges down into the Apurimac canyon and then up again to the fascinating Inca city of Choquequirao. While this is a quite tough trek, you are rewarded with spectacular views the whole way. The Choquequirao in Depth trek enables you to visit the interesting sites of Tarawasi and Sayhuite on day one and stay in a basic hostal on the first night. This extra day also helps with altitude acclimatisation. As you get an early trekking start on Day 2 you will ultimately have more time at Choquequirao ruins on Day 3.

Day 3: Choquequirao

The expected day arrived visit to the last city of the Inca resistance choquequirao, Only about 30% of the Inca remains of Choquequirao have been excavated. What can be seen today however, is most impressive and very much worth the challenging trek to get here. The stonework in Choquequirao is not as sophisticated as that found in Machu Picchu, because the stone found here is very difficult to carve, but the buildings are impressive and suggest a site of high status. from this mystical place we can see condors time reminding us of our ancestors, feeling the energy around the place will visit holy sites, dedicated to the Andean deities such as mother earth (pachamama),sun(inti), moon(quilla) mountains(apus),ETC
